For my fantasy map, I decided to draw and adventure style map of a completely made up middle earth style universe called Adros. The people of the Leyland's Keep are the well respected guardians of the land and have maintained order across the continent for centuries. There are rumors of a ominous evil presence coming from the ancient Dreadfort nested in the heart of the northern mountains. A team of Knights from Leyland's Keep have been tasked with investigating the rumors of the evil presence and exploring the Dreadfort if necessary. There are two points for the team's initial investigation. A sage at the old Hermit's House has uncovered an ancient prophecy which he believes is related to the ominous presence at the Dreadfort. Villagers at the Fallen Shore have reported the sudden appearance of a mysterious obelisk on the north shore of the continent. Along the journey the knights will have to navigate through several challenging environments such as the Black Forest, a notoriously large and hard to navigate forest, as well as a the steep peaks of the northern mountains.
